Description:

The Munich Center for Language and Literature is offering 4 doctoral studentpositions (C1, 50%, 2,5 years with evaluation after the first year) to work onresearch projects related to one of the Center's linguistic focuses: "Variation- Kontakt - Wandel" (Linguistics) or "Figuren von Textualität" (Linguistics andLiterature). The doctoral students participate in the International Doctoral Programme inLinguistics "Language Theory and Applied Linguistics". Further informationregarding the Doctoral Programme is available at http://www.lipp.lmu.de.

Application requirements are a university degree graded above average (MagisterArtium, diploma, state board examination, Master of Arts ("with thesis"),Maîtrise, Laurea, etc.) in a linguistic subject, very good knowledge of German,working knowledge of English and one other language.

The Munich Center for Language and Linguistics actively promotes theinternationalization of postgraduate academic education. Therefore, candidateswho acquired their degree at a university outside Germany are preferred.

Applications should contain an outline of the dissertation project (max. 10pages), a CV, an application letter, certified copies of all school leavingcertificates and university diplomas and degrees.
